Community participation painting

The base structure is provided and then people are asked to add their images.  The Roots and Branches of Peace tapestry began with an outline on canvas of a tree with branches and roots.  More than 100 participants added their handprints using non-toxic oil pastels.

Hand Paper Making

Demonstration and practical applications and processes of making paper.  Participants make paper.

Cartonage and sculpting with paper clay.

Creation of materials is demonstrated and explained.  Participants will make a 3-D painting surface.  The material can also be used to make beads and small sculpted objects.
